Carrabelle Florida

November 25th.
We left Apalachicola early in the morning to try and out run the bad weather coming in. It was a little overcast and the winds were about 5-10 mph. A little bumpy (3-4 feet) but not bad at all, it only took us a couple of hours to cross Apalachicola Bay.
So here we are in Carrabelle waiting for a good weather window to cross the Gulf. There are a lot of other "Loopers" here waiting for the same thing. It will be 175 miles across to Tarpon Springs and we are loaded with extra fuel. Tomorrow we meet with Buddy, he is a local fellow who seems to know the waters well and he will tell us when he thinks it would be a good day to go. We are so thankful that we can do the trip in one day, faster than most of the other "Loopers". It has been rainy and cool most of today and we hope that the good weather is close behind.
