Today we left Annapolis in the morning after a very bad storm last night to move up the Chesapeake Bay. We went 61 miles in fairly flat water.
We started into the C.&D.(Chesapeake-Delaware) canal. This canal will take us across the northern end of the Chesapeake Bay and into Delaware Bay.
We stopped for the night in Chesapeake City and got onto a town dock ($10.00/night). The Dockmaster took me to town for groceries and the people couldn't have been more friendly. We had a great pizza at the Chesapeake Inn and Marina and when the band started up we just had to get up and dance!
Lots of laughs with Peggy and Ken for sure. What a great end to the day.
