We had a very eventful ride to Jekyll Island today. As we passed by a Navy facility, we could see a very large submarine ahead of us in the water, before I could get my camera out, there was quickly two patrol boats coming at us with manned machine guns. They told us to stay over to the side of the channel and "Absolutely No Pictures!" It was an amazing sight to see and I wasn't even tempted to take any pictures ! these guys aren't kidding!
When we got into the marina here Dave and I got on our bikes and headed to town. We had a lovely horse and buggy ride around the Historic District.
Lots of beautiful old homes and lots of history.
