After waiting for the bridge to open at 7:30 am., we entered the Dismal Swamp, and it was dismal, not much to look at except trees and dirty water. This is just one of the routes to get up to Virginia and everyone said it was a must do on this trip, I'm not sure why people think this is so beautiful. Such a slow day, I actually got some knitting done.
