We had a beautiful hot and sunny day for travel on the I.C.W. It is slow most of the time because of the Manatee Zones and the residential areas.
Got into the town dock around 1:00 pm. We thought that we could stay all night but the sign said just two hours. We went for a bike ride around the town, it really is wonderful, beautiful little shops and restaurants, and a great bakery.
Two Police officers came by to greet us and we thought they would tell us to leave. Really all they wanted was to welcome us to town and jokingly asked if we had any McIntosh Toffee or Canadian Beer. They were both really nice and assured us we would be safe there for the night.
