This is a statue of Thomas Edison in front of the worlds second largest Banyon tree. He planted it in 1925 and it is now over one acre in diameter. This type of tree produces latex that could be used to create rubber. Harvey Firestone gave Edison this tree in hopes that he could produce rubber for his tire manufacturing.
