We wanted to anchor out for the night at a nice island, but the winds would be from the east that night and that wouldn't be a good place to be, so we decided to go on to Bradenton four days ahead of schedule. We crossed Tampa Bay and ran along beside The Sunshine Skyway Bridge. What a thrill ! We had driven this bridge by car many times. We crossed the main shipping channel and entered the Manatee River.
