Heading Down the Illinois River

Saturday September 8th.
We headed to downtown Chicago and went through the first lock of eight on the Illinois River.
No one helps you here you just grab a line that hangs over the edge. Everyone must wear a life jacket through the locks. This lock was just a two foot drop.
