Ludington Michigan

August 24th.

We have been in Ludington Michigan for three days and we couldn't be in a nicer little town. The weather has been rainy, windy and foggy but things look to improve tomorrow, we will see.
There is a lot to do here and lots of interesting things to see.
Watching the S.S. Badger come in and go twice a day is neat. It is a 410 foot long car-ferry that goes between Ludington Mich. across the lake to Manitowic Wis. It is coal fired and steam driven so it is extremely quiet. It was built in 1939, it used to haul railway cars across the lake.
We have taken the Dial- a- Ride to Walmart ( I haven't seen a Walmart in a couple of months !), we were able to stock up on a lot of things. We had time for hair cuts finally. Two months is just too long, and we both feel a lot better !
And guess what they have a wool shop here !! It is a nautical yarn shop and I had a ball !
