Sunday August 26th.
We arrived in Grand Haven about noon and had fairly good seas along the way. We try to just go when things are calm.
This is a lovely city, lots to see and do. So many shops to go through and parks to walk in.
We had a pleasant surprise in the afternoon when some people we met on the Trent a year ago and again in Penetang, dropped by the boat. They knew approximately when we were coming through town and had been watching for our Canadian flag and our boat. We had a really nice visit with them on the dock. They had finished their "loop" a year ago and live in the area.
There was a wonderful coloured light fountain show at dark in the park across from the marina ,(sorry the pictures didn't turn out), it was really beautiful to see and I guess they have done it every night in the summer since 1962.
